The host of nine cups — a wish granted, comfort earned, genuine satisfaction.
Reversed, it falls differently: Smugness or hollow indulgence; the wish granted but not filling.
For the heart: Emotional contentment; enjoy it without demanding it perform.
For bread and coin: Rewards arrive; savor the win before chasing the next.
For the road ahead: Let it be enough — for a while, at least.
A card on a page is a word, child. A card your own hand draws is a sentence. There is a difference.
