Six of Cups
nostalgia · the past · innocence · reunion

A gift from the past — memory, an old friend, kindness returning from long ago.
Reversed, it falls differently: Living in yesterday; the past visiting to be released, not repeated.
For the heart: Someone from the past returns, or old sweetness is remembered; ask what it is for.
For bread and coin: Old skills or contacts bear new fruit.
For the road ahead: The past is a well to drink from, not a house to live in.
A card on a page is a word, child. A card your own hand draws is a sentence. There is a difference.
Every dawn one card waits face-down on my table — come and turn yours. Or bring the cards a full question: the table is there.
